QiGong
- The Routine -

With Qi Gong, you learn practices to feel and direct your energy.  These practices can be learned quickly and then used independently later in life whenever you need them.

What is Qi Gong?

Qi Gong means working (Gong) with the life energy (Qi) or care of the life energy. Qi Gong has been practiced in China since the beginning of TCM teachings. In the course of time, many different forms of Qi Gong have developed, but they are all based on the same pillars. With the three pillars of movement, breathing and awareness, the Qi is increased in still but also in moving Qi Gong. In moving Qi Gong, the external movement, in the form of movement sequences, is characteristic. In silent Qi Gong, attention is paid to the inner movement, in the form of meditation and awareness.

How does Qi Gong work?

Moving Qi Gong is a slow healing gymnastic exercise. These serve to maintain health or to support the healing process of diseases.
Through calm, gentle, soft movements, ligaments, tendons and bones are strengthened. The coordination of the musculature is promoted.
With time, the attention is directed more and more inward and we try to feel the flow of life energy.
As the practice progresses, the strength of the legs and lower back increases, while the arms and upper body become lighter and lighter. Musculature, flexibility, cardiovascular system, metabolism and psyche are positively influenced.
During these meditative exercises, breathing and movement adapt to each other more and more and the breath calms down. The mind calms down more and more and we get control over it.
However, negative feelings can also occur at the beginning. This is called initial worsening. This can occur when the self-healing powers are awakened. With patience and conscious observation we notice more and more that these feelings or even pains change.
After a meditation we do not have sore muscles like after a physical strain but slowly notice more and more subtle little changes in our daily life.
Please be patient and aware in your daily life.
Through further practice, the movements will become even more rounded, the strength and flexibility will continue to increase, the general sense of well-being will increase and make you insensitive to stress.
